World Finance Awards
World Finance magazine, an industry leader and respected voice in financial circles is pleased to announce its portfolio of awards for 2008. Rewarding the best in business is a tough task, but someone has to do itAll awards are categorised by the editor, Alexander Redcliffe, and a diverse team of industry and financial experts. As a part of the public domain, World Finance assesses the many thousands of votes accepted via email. These are then processed and gauged by the awards panel, and if the percentage of votes is overwhelming or the argument for the award compelling enough, World Finance offer the credit where it’s due. Any email regarding the awards is read with great interest by the panel of judges.

The World Finance Award Panel
All awards are considered with great care by our varied panel, who take time to consider a plethora of information as proposed by our readership and cultivated by a team of researchers. The panel of judges is made up of:
Alexander Redcliffe, Editor, Head Judge:
Alexander has been editor of World Finance for several years now, overseeing the magazine from a small business focused publication to the multinational benchmark of financial journals it is today. Prior to taking over the helms at World Finance, Alexander worked as a financial consultant at some of the biggest investment banks in the UK before pursuing his interest in journalism and the media. Born in Cambridge, he studied in the financial sector in New York city for many years. He currently resides in London.
William Henry, Financial Consultant, journalist, Senior Judge:
William works full time with one of Europe’s most prestigious banks. He occasionally makes contributions to the pages of World Finance, and enjoys the evaluation and research side of the awards. He offers vast experience into the European markets.
Mike Wearing, Industries and Manufacturing Assessor, Senior Judge:
The former editor of top manufacturing journal Industrial Focus, Mike now devotes much of his time to assessing award criteria. His knowledge of industry mechanisms is unrivalled.
Lao Ping, Stock Consultant, Advisor to the Judges:
With many years insider knowledge in the markets, Lao had made a success of the stock game. Although his portfolio spans the globe, his expert assessment of currencies and eastern stocks adds an extra dimension to the panel.
Hywel Jones, former BBC journalist, Advisor to the Judges:
Hywel moved to World Finance after many years of dedicated service to the BBC. Having travelled the globe, Hywel offers a range of expertise and a critical eye of economic activity.
